The Karen Thomson-Gale award is awarded to the best club person, each year.

Karen embodied everything this award represents. A valued player, supportive partner, and dedicated all-round contributor, she gave endlessly to the club both on and off the field.

She served as Secretary from 1997 to 1999 and continued to play an active role on the committee for many years, helping to organise countless social events that strengthened the spirit of the club.

Karen was deservedly recognised as Best Clubperson in 1998, and in 2005 she was honoured as a posthumous Life Member following her courageous battle with cancer. Her legacy of commitment, community, and kindness continues to inspire all who follow.
